The Royal Opera House

This is the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. The first image if a 3 picture panorama of the new wing while the second is a single shot of the main building. It’s a building that to me, represents an injustice in that its renovation and expansion was funded by poor people, who make up the majority, to benefit a form of entertainment enjoyed by a minority, the majority of which have money. I do like some opera so I’m not a hater but the national lottery funded this place’s renovation/expansion to the tune of 50,000,000 pounds with money from poor people gambling while said organisation’s mandate is supposed to be to fund things for the majority of this country. You would think since the poor paid for it, we’d get a free ticket! I’m proud to say I’ve never spent a penny of my money on the lottery but I know a great many people who have so this building is a symbol of that injustice to me. They are nice pictures though.
